AHA First Aid and CPR Instructor Training – South Brunswick, NJ

$375.00The American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider Instructor Course is a two-day program designed to prepare participants for teaching Basic Life Support (BLS) courses.
Day One – Online Learning
The first portion of the course is completed at home through the AHA BLS Essentials online module, which will be provided upon payment. This self-paced program covers fundamental teaching principles and takes a few hours to complete. Upon successful completion, participants must print and bring their completion certificate to the in-person session.
Additionally, all participants must hold a valid, unexpired AHA BLS Provider certification and submit a copy upon course registration. Non-AHA BLS certifications are not accepted.
Day Two – In-Person Training
The second day takes place at our Training Center in South Brunswick or Clinton, NJ. This session will cover:
- Course organization and administration
- AHA policies and procedures
- CPR guideline updates and their rationale
- Equipment maintenance and sanitization
- Advertising and course promotion
- Skills testing and written exams
- Micro-teaching practice
Before attending, participants will be assigned a micro-teaching topic to present in a 5-minute session during the instructor class.
Instructor Monitoring Requirement
After completing the Instructor Course, candidates must successfully teach a BLS Provider course under supervision to obtain full instructor certification. Scheduling and coordination of this monitored class are the participant’s responsibility, and an additional fee will apply. A Medserv faculty member will conduct the evaluation.

- Medserv reserves the right to decline instructor candidates who do not meet AHA’s minimum qualifications.
- No refunds will be issued for individuals who fail testing or do not complete the training.
